Welsh Football In Europe
EDM number 655 in 2002-03, proposed by Martyn Jones on 04/02/2003.
That this House supports the Wrexham Evening Leader newspaper's 'Reds in Europe' campaign; calls upon the Football Association of Wales to redress the current injustice of effectively banning Wrexham AFC, Cardiff City FC and Swansea City FC from playing in Europe; and asks the Football association of Wales to allow the winners of the FAW Premiership Cup to take their rightful place in European football competition from the 2003-04 season, thereby offering the opportunity for Wales' finest teams to play in Europe once again.
This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs.
