THE COUNTRYSIDE ALLIANCE 'LIBERTY AND LIVELIHOOD MARCH' AND THE BRITISH NATIONAL PARTY;Amdt. line 2:
EDM number 64A2 in 2002-03, proposed by HELEN CLARK on 18/11/2002.
leave out from 'dogs' to end and add 'calls attention to the letter sent by Richard Burge, Chief Executive of the Countryside Alliance, to all honourable Members; welcomes its reiteration of its longstanding repudiation of all the British National Party stands for; notes its assurance that prior to the Liberty and Livelihood March on 22nd September it was made clear that BNP representatives would not be welcome at the march; further notes the fact, confirmed by the BNP website, that march stewards took action to prevent the distribution of promotional literature; and records its regret that these unfounded allegations have appeared publicly to defame a legitimate organisation and its campaign.'.
This is a ammendment to 64.
