EDM number 51A3 in 2002-03, proposed by John Greenway on 15/11/2002.

Leave out from 'House' to end and add 'believes that a referendum on regional government for Yorkshire and the Humber would be a costly and unnecessary distraction from the real concerns of people throughout Yorkshire who want better public services and have no need for a new tier of politicians and bureaucrats who would make decisions more remote from the people not closer to them; and particularly decries the likely abolition of the North Yorkshire County Council which has an exemplary record of providing high quality services.'

This is a ammendment to 51.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
