Single Hander General Practitioners

EDM number 492 in 2002-03, proposed by David Amess on 13/01/2003.

That this House calls on the Prime Minister to withdraw his comments made at Prime Minister's Questions on 3rd July 2002, when he stated that 'There has been a move over time away from single-handed practices so as to improve the quality of care that people receive', implying that single-hander general practitioners are somehow substandard, which have offended a great many single-hander general practitioners, the vast majority of whom offer an exemplary service to their patients.

This motion has been signed by a total of 3 MPs.
