Anti-War Action By Train Drivers

EDM number 484 in 2002-03, proposed by John McDonnell on 09/01/2003.

That this House applauds the courageous and principled action by the two Motherwell-based train drivers who have declined to operate a freight train carrying ammunition destined for deployment in a war against Iraq; and believes that the right to conscientious objection extends to all British citizens who refuse to participate or contribute to this threatened war.

This motion has been signed by a total of 25 MPs.
