Kenyan Elections (No. 2)

EDM number 449 in 2002-03, proposed by Tony Colman on 07/01/2003.

That this House notes that the 2002 General Election in Kenya took place in a largely peaceful context and has been commended by Kenneth Kaunda, head of the Carter Center Delegation; further notes that the presidential handover was the first peaceful handover to a fully democratically elected leader in the country's history; and welcomes the new President's commitment to tackle corruption in the country.

This motion has been signed by a total of 45 MPs.
