Birds Eye Advertisement And The Scottish Fishing Industry
EDM number 424 in 2002-03, proposed by Alex Salmond on 18/12/2002.
That this House deplores the advert placed in the Scottish Sun on 18th December by Birds Eye, a subsidiary of Unilever, which seeks to make a fast buck on the back of the European Commission's proposals to close Scottish fishing waters; believes that if Birds Eye wanted to say something constructive to help resolve the fishing crisis, then they would advertise the strong and effective conservation measures that have already been implemented by the Scottish fishing fleet, alone in the European Union.
This motion has been signed by a total of 9 MPs.
