Gibraltar Referendum

EDM number 32 in 2002-03, proposed by Andrew Rosindell on 13/11/2002.

That this House congratulates the people of Gibraltar on their decision to reject the principle of joint sovereignty with Spain by an overwhelming majority of 99 per cent. to 1 per cent; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to respect their democratic choice to remain British and end all negotiations with the Government of the Kingdom of Spain regarding sovereignty over The Rock.
