Making The Death Penalty Available To Courts In Certain Cases

EDM number 303 in 2002-03, proposed by Iris Robinson on 05/12/2002.

That this House is appalled at the rise in the number of murders of children and young people under the age of 18 years; is horrified by the obscene nature of these murders; and believes that a stronger deterrent is needed; and supports making available to the courts the sanction of the death penalty in specified circumstances relating to the nature of the capital crime.
