Conduct Of Defra And The Pesticides Voluntary Initiative
EDM number 231 in 2002-03, proposed by John Hayes on 28/11/2002.
That this House notes with great concern the conclusion of the Environmental Audit Select Committee Report that it is 'bizarre and deplorable that the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has commissioned a review of the success of the voluntary initiative without even having the courtesy to inform Professor Dent', the independent Chairman of the Pesticides Voluntary Initiative Steering Committee; and believes that this is further evidence of the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Ministers' confusion, incompetence and incoherence.
This motion has been signed by a total of 7 MPs.
