Bone Marrow Donors

That this House congratulates the Anthony Nolan Trust in maintaining the UK's largest register of over 330,000 potential volunteer blood stem cell/bone marrow donors; recognises the vital role of volunteers willing to help those needing a transplant to fight leukaemia and related diseases of the immune system; and supports the Trust's major nationwide initiative to encourage more people to register with the Anthony Nolan Trust as potential donors, particularly males and ethnic minorities of whom there is a serious shortage.
