Eritrea-Ethiopia Conflict

EDM number 1924 in 2002-03, proposed by Jeremy Corbyn on 13/11/2003.

That this House deeply regrets past conflicts between Ethiopia and Eritrea and the consequent loss of a large number of lives; recognises the role of the UN and the Organisation of African Unity in bringing the parties together and the establishment of a boundary commission to resolve the border dispute; accordingly commends the UN Security Council letter to Ethiopia requesting it fully complies with the commission; and calls on the Government to use all its endeavours to promote a peaceful resolution of the conflict.

This motion has been signed by a total of 23 MPs.
