Australian War Memorial

EDM number 1905 in 2002-03, proposed by Andrew Rosindell on 11/11/2003.

That this House notes with enormous pride the unveiling on Tuesday 11th November of the Australian War Memorial in London by Her Majesty The Queen and the Prime Minister of Australia; salutes the courage of all those Australians who lost their lives in defending the values which are the foundation of the democracy and freedom shared and cherished by the peoples of Australia and the United Kingdom; and expresses the hope that the memorial will serve as a lasting tribute to all Australian servicemen and women from the Army, Navy and Air Force who made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure that our nations could enjoy peace, security and lasting freedom.

This motion has been signed by a total of 61 MPs.
