British War Dead

EDM number 1899 in 2002-03, proposed by Paul Marsden on 11/11/2003.

That this House honours the British dead of the first World War and is greatly concerned by Belgian plans to build an extension to the A19 which will extend the roadway over a first World War site between Ypres and Passchendaele, forever buying in concrete the unmarked graves of those who gave their lives in the defence of freedom, peace democracy; and urges the British Government to intervene to ensure the battlefields are peacefully preserved for the memory of those brave soldiers.

This motion has been signed by a total of 36 MPs.
