Occupational Environment Disease Association
EDM number 1848 in 2002-03, proposed by Michael Clapham on 30/10/2003.
That this House is concerned to learn that the Association of London Government has advised that it can no longer continue the grant support it has generously provided to the Occupational and Environmental Diseases Association since the 1980s and that this unique service, made available to people suffering from asbestos-related diseases and their families, is now under threat; and calls on the Secretary of State for Health to consider making a grant under Section 64 of the Health Service and Public Health Act 1968 to the organisation to help retain this valuable service in the community.
This motion has been signed by a total of 37 MPs.
