Standards For Nhs HIV Services

That this House congratulates the Medical Foundation for AIDS and Sexual Health for producing Recommended Standards for NHS HIV Services; welcomes the Association and National Association of NHS Providers of AIDS Care and Treatment; notes that these new recommended standards seek to support professionals in meeting the challenge of developing HIV service networks, enable providers to plan and audit service development, assist commissioners to review and structure resource allocation and help people with HIV to gain access to consistent quality of care and partnership with care providers; and calls for strategic health authorities to use these standards in managing the performance of NHS trusts.
