Camel Jockeys

EDM number 1782 in 2002-03, proposed by Alan Meale on 20/10/2003.

That this House calls upon the Government to voice to the Government of the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdon's concern about the practice in their country of the use of children, some as young as four years of age, as camel jockeys; and believes that such hazardous practices which put at risk the lives, health and safety of youngsters should be prohibited and ceased forthwith.
