Membership Of The Euro

EDM number 1692 in 2002-03, proposed by Keith Vaz on 15/09/2003.

That this House regrets the fact that the people of Sweden, in their euro referendum on Sunday 13 September, voted against joining the euro; believes that it is important that Her Majesty's Government starts campaigning vigorously in favour of the euro in accordance with the Prime Minister's statements in June; and calls on the Prime Minister to meet the prime ministers of Sweden and Denmark to co-ordinate a campaign to emphasise the benefits of euro membership.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
