WORLD'S BIGGEST COFFEE MORNING

EDM number 1685 in 2002-03, proposed by Bob Spink on 15/09/2003.

That this House welcomes the World's Biggest Coffee Morning, organised by Macmillan Cancer Relief to be held for the 13th time on 26th September in living rooms, work places and anywhere people can have coffee and raise money for Macmillan's work with people living with cancer; acknowledges the achievements of this unique, record-breaking event, which has now raised more than ú20 million and last year involved 545,647 guests, earning Macmillan a mention in the Guinness Book of Records; and encourages all honourable Members to help to beat the target of ú3.5 million for Macmillan's world's Biggest Coffee Morning 2003, so that Macmillan can be there from the start for more of the 732 people diagnosed with cancer each and every day.

This motion has been signed by a total of 76 MPs.
