Executive Pay

EDM number 1632 in 2002-03, proposed by Adam Price on 08/09/2003.

That this House notes with deep concern that the average pay for a FTSE 100 chief executive is now ú1,677,685; further notes that the pay of bosses is rising seven times faster than the wage of their workers; believes that the directors of the UK's leading companies are incapable of self-restraint; and therefore calls on the Government to impose legislation linking the pay increases of bosses to those of their workers.

This motion has been signed by a total of 32 MPs.
