Elections In Columbia

That this House notes with deep concern the accusations of collusion between Colombian governmental authorities and the Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia; fears that the subversive tactics of the paramilitaries are undermining democracy in Colombia by illegally targeting political activists such as students, trade unionist and intellectuals; and calls for international observers to be located in Colombia during elections, to ensure that the democratic rights of the people of Colombia are protected as provided for in Colombia's 1991 political constitution.
