Motorway Services, Junction 4, M65

EDM number 1620 in 2002-03, proposed by Janet Anderson on 17/07/2003.

That this House recognises that the motorway services at junction 4 of the M65 are clearly located in Darwen, Lancashire; notes with concern therefore that these services are still described as the Blackburn services; believes this to be an outrageous and continuing denial of the wishes of the people of Darwen; and calls upon the Minister of Transport to urge the Highways Agency and the developers of the site to honour their undertaking to change the name of the Darwen Services without further delay.
