Guantanamo Bay Detainees
EDM number 1615 in 2002-03, proposed by Michael Ancram on 17/07/2003.
That this House acknowledges the concerns over the detention and possible trials of those British nationals detained at Guantanamo Bay; fully understands that those individuals who actively participated in military operations against both UK and US forces in Afghanistan should be accountable for their actions and face due process; and calls on the government to seek assurances that when such process comes to be that there is a clear charge, that it is a proper recognised legal process and that the defendants have proper representation.
This motion has been signed by a total of 11 MPs.
