That this House welcomes honourable Members' decision to conclude Parliamentary business at 7.00p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the lifetime of this Parliament; acknowledges the need to re-establish the importance of Parliament and trust in the political process; recognises that honourable Members are not the sole repositories of knowledge or ideas; and calls on the Leader of the House to draw up proposals for the use of the Chamber for debates on non-Government business, and on issues of policy to which members of the public with expertise and insight may be encouraged to contribute.
