Child Tax Credit Deadline

EDM number 1555 in 2002-03, proposed by John Barrett on 08/07/2003.

That this House notes the problems associated with the administration and take-up of tax credits; and believes that the Government should extend the 7th July deadline for claiming a full year's entitlement of child tax credit and allow the one million families who are eligible but yet to apply for this important benefit to make a claim.

This motion has been signed by a total of 50 MPs.
