Behaviour Of Elected Representatives
EDM number 1437 in 2002-03, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 18/06/2003.
That this House, noting the moves made by the Conservative Party to censure one of its councillors in Peterborough over disgraceful comments made in relation to people in Northern Ireland, calls upon honourable Members on all sides of the House to assist in ensuring that elected representatives at every level in each party know that their words and actions, whether through lack of knowledge or deliberate and wilful malice aforethought, can cause deep offence in Northern Ireland, where innocent people have suffered at the hands of terrorist violence for 34 years.
This motion has been signed by a total of 6 MPs.
