Conduct Of Labour Honourable Members (Post Office Card Accounts) (No 3)

That this House deplores the fact that the Labour honourable Members for Great Grimsby, Ipswich, Cardiff North, Bristol North West, Knowsley South, Nuneaton, Forest of Dean, Ynys Mon, Broxtowe, Ilford North, East Lothian, Burnley, St. Albans, Ealing North, Dover, Gateshead East and Washington West, Portsmouth North, Coventry North West, Bradford North, City of Chester, Aberdeen North, Kettering, Huddersfield, West Renfrewshire, Nottingham South, Islington South and Finsbury, Morecambe and Lunesdale, Stoke-on-Trent South, Inverness East, Nairn and Lochaber, Wellingborough, Edinburgh East and Musselburgh, Alyn and Deeside, North West Leicestershire, Sherwood, Hemsworth, Pudsey, Brighton Kemptown, Finchley and Golders Green, Stoke-on-Trent North, Liverpool West Derby, Milton Keynes North East, Conway, Batley and Spen, Clydebank and Milngavie, Glasgow Baillieston, Telford, and Sittingbourne and Sheppey voted against the motion in the name of the Leader of the Opposition on Post Office Card Accounts on 11th June, despite having supported the same motion when it was tabled by the honourable Member for Ochil as Early Day Motion 572; notes that had those honourable Members voted for the motion then it would have been carried; calls on them to explain why they have voted against a motion designed to protect the interests of vulnerable pensioners and benefit recipients and to save post offices; and condemns the Government for its dismissal of a motion which as an Early Day Motion secured the support of a clear majority of honourable Members of the House.
