That this House wishes to express its gratitude to the IFAW, the American Zoo and Aquarium Association, the Born Free Foundation, Care for the Wild, Foundation Brigitte Bardot, Thula Thula Private Game Reserve, WildAid and the WSPA for all their efforts in rescuing and caring for animals in Baghdad Zoo and environs; is appalled at the suffering of the animals caused by bombing, fighting and subsequent looting of the zoo; commends the US Army for their readiness to work with the animal welfare organisations to bring relief to these poor innocent creatures; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to offer whatever additional assistance is required.
