Rail Links To Scottish Ferry Terminals

EDM number 1338 in 2002-03, proposed by Peter Duncan on 04/06/2003.

That this House notes the decision of Stena to abandon plans for a separate new ferry terminal in Loch Ryan, and instead share port facilities with P&O at Cairnryan; believes that the new joint terminal deserves continued links to the railway network to maximize the success of the North Channel crossing to Northern Ireland; and calls on the Strategic Rail Authority and Network Rail to commit to continued rail servies to Stranraer, and improved links to the new shared port.

This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
