Welsh National Anthem

EDM number 1266 in 2002-03, proposed by Kevin Brennan on 20/05/2003.

That this House deplores the decision of the English Football Association to ban the playing of the Welsh National Anthem Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau at the 2nd Division play off final between Cardiff City and Queens Park Rangers at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff as an insensitive snub to Welsh football fans; further calls on all fans present to respect both the playing of God Save the Queen and the unaccompanied rendition of Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau which will be necessitated by the FA's decision.
