Housing Affordability In The South West Of England

EDM number 1251 in 2002-03, proposed by Adrian Sanders on 19/05/2003.

That this House welcomes evidence to support housing policy decisions and in particular the Joseph Rowntree Foundation findings on the affordability differences by area for working households buying their homes; notes that 15 districts in the South West feature in a league table of the 40 'least affordable' areas in England; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government, the local authorities and housing providers in the South West Region to study the report and act on its findings without delay.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
