Upper Committee Corridor Trolley Service

EDM number 1222 in 2002-03, proposed by Janet Anderson on 15/05/2003.

That this House recognises the dedication and stamina required of honourable Members serving on Standing Committees, most especially in view of the earlier starting time of 8.55 a.m.; believes that honourable Members should therefore be able to call on the stimulation and refreshment of a revivifying tea and coffee service for the duration of such committees, notes that the present service consists of tea and coffee provided from flasks for one hour only; further notes that the supply regularly runs out so that a member of the Refreshment Department's staff has to run down several flights of stairs to replenish supplies; considers this service to be totally unsatisfactory; and calls upon the House of Commons Refreshment Department and the Catering Committee to restore the former trolley service on the Upper Committee Corridor without delay.

This motion has been signed by a total of 9 MPs.
