National Osteoporosis Month

EDM number 1183 in 2002-03, proposed by Liam Fox on 12/05/2003.

That this House notes that June is National Osteoporosis Month; recognises the devasting impact that osteoporosis has on the lives of large numbers of people, particularly women; notes that early action to identify and treat osteoporosis can significantly reduce that impact; and calls on the Government to take steps to increase the early diagnosis of osteoporosis and to improve the standard of treatment available to those so diagnosed.
