Salvation Army-Family Tracing Service
EDM number 1139 in 2002-03, proposed by Alan Meale on 06/05/2003.
That this House applauds the work of the Salvation Army Family Tracing Service which has been bringing together families and relatives for more than 118 years; notes that on average each year some 20,000 people enjoy a renewed relationship as a result of its work; recognises that large numbers of those assisted have experienced years of trauma through loneliness, lack of identity and belonging; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to learn from such selfless devotion by recognising the Salvation Army's admirable work amongst the nation's poor, needy and missing.
This motion has been signed by a total of 78 MPs.
