Hungary And European Union Referendum

EDM number 1077 in 2002-03, proposed by Keith Vaz on 14/04/2003.

That this House applauds the people of Hungary on their decision to join the European Union; notes that 84 per cent. voted Yes in the national referendum held on 12th April; and looks forward to welcoming Hungary as a full member of the European Union on 1st May 2004.
