Council Tax Increases

EDM number 1044 in 2002-03, proposed by Bob Spink on 09/04/2003.

That this House deplores the policy of the Government to move funds from Essex County Council to other councils, many in the Midlands and North; acknowledges the difficulty that this has caused Essex residents, many of whom will, as a direct result, receive a lower pensions increase than council tax increase; and calls on the Chancellor to redress this situation by giving the people of Essex their money back.

This motion has been signed by a total of 2 MPs.
