Women Golf Club Membership

That this House notes that the honourable Members for Dorset North, Gloucester and Sittingbourne and Sheppey have sought over the past five years to introduce legislation to ensure sporting organisations, especially golf clubs, open their membership to women or afford them equal rights and equal access thereof; calls for the clubs at Royal St. George, Sandwich and Royal Troon, hosts to The Open in 2003 and 2004, to introduce full membership for women; and supports the current campaign in America in challenging the Augusta club to do the same.
