Salvation Army In Russia

That this House congratulates The Salvation Army on overturning the ban placed on it by the authorities in Moscow; commends the organisation for its work in Russia as a church and as a provider of care for the poor and needy of all faiths and none; further commends the Russian constitutional court for upholding the concept of religious freedom; acknowledges that work undertaken by The Salvation Army such as prison visiting, care for the elderly and the provision of soup kitchens is vitally important to help meet the needs of Russia's dispossessed and wishes it every success in the future.
