Death Of Speaker Balyogi

EDM number 945 in 2001-02, proposed by Barry Gardiner on 06/03/2002.

That this House expresses its condolences to the family of Mr G.M.C. Balyogi, Speaker of the Lok Sabha (Lower House) in the Indian Parliament, who died on 3rd March; and recognises his vital contribution to political participation and democracy in India and his promotion of inter-parliamentary co-operation.
