Environmentally Benign Fuel And Refrigerants

EDM number 872 in 2001-02, proposed by Jane Griffiths on 14/02/2002.

That the House supports tax and Government procurement methods to encourage the move towards more environmentally benign fuel and refrigerants; calls for such measures to be sustained over the long term and concentrate on practical, deliverable solutions rather than blue sky aspirations; would welcome a revision of company car taxation to recognise the environmental advantages of road fuel gases over conventional fuels; and congratulates Calor Gas Ltd on its investment in LPG refuelling infrastructure and on its campaign to highlight the damaging global warming potential of the use of HFCs in refrigeration and air conditioning.

This motion has been signed by a total of 44 MPs.
