That this House notes with extreme concern the unacceptable increase in the relatively new crime of carjacking; welcomes Scotland Yard's deployment of armed response vehicles to combat this violent crime; urges support for the use of car tracking devices; and calls upon the Government to undertake an urgent assessment of carjacking crime throughout the UK in order to stop it escalating into an epidemic.
