Murders At The La Mon House Hotel
EDM number 814 in 2001-02, proposed by Iris Robinson on 06/02/2002.
That this House recalls with sadness the horrific events at La Mon House Hotel, 24 years ago on 17th February, when 12 innocent people were murdered (a thirteenth dying of injuries later) by the Provisional IRA, following a fire bomb explosion; notes that the honourable Member for West Belfast was arrested and questioned about these murders and that no one in this organisation has been made amenable to the law for this attack, for which they admitted responsibility; and calls on the Government to spend a fraction of the funds used on the public inquiry into the death of a similar number of people in Londonderry to investigate this and other atrocities and the role of Sinn Fein/IRA in them.
This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
