Golden Jubilee

EDM number 762 in 2001-02, proposed by HELEN CLARK on 30/01/2002.

That this House remembers the great success and boost to national morale of the Queen's Silver Jubilee celebrations; urges the Government to cut unnecessary red tape so the Golden Jubilee can be a similar success; recognises that this event will not just Honour Her Majesty, but will help to unify and celebrate the multicultural diversities within our nation; believes this unique opportunity should not be put in jeopardy by costly rules and regulations; and further asks the Government to make National Lottery money available for this worthy purpose.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
