HAEMOPHILIA SOCIETY'S 'CARPET OF LILIES' CAMPAIGN

That this House supports the Haemophilia Society's 'Carpet of Lilies' Campaign which is designed to win fairer support for the nearly 5,000 people with haemophilia in the United Kingdom who were infected with Hepatitis C and/or HIV as a result of contaminated blood products used in their NHS treatment; strongly endorses calls for a public inquiry into the tragedy of contaminated blood products; and urges Her Majesty's Government to introduce a compensation scheme for people with haemophilia and Hepatitis C as a matter of urgency.
