Inquiry Into The Murder Of Pat Finucane;amdt. Line 1:

EDM number 592A1 in 2001-02, proposed by Jeffrey Donaldson on 09/01/2002.

recognises the deep hurt felt by the innocent victims of terrorist violence who have witnessed the early release of terrorist prisoners and their strong sense of injustice at the Government's intention to grant an amnesty to other terrorists who are on the run, including the IRA members who murdered 11 innocent people in Enniskillen on Remembrance Sunday in 1987 and who have never faced the courts to account for their terrible crimes, and believes that any independent, public inquiry into the murder of Patrick Finucane would stand in stark contrast to the shabby treatment accorded to other victims of terrorism and would be seen by them as just another excuse to have a witch-hunt against the courageous men and women of the Royal Ulster Constabulary and the British security forces.

This is a ammendment to 592.
