Scottish Renewable Energy Capacity

EDM number 566 in 2001-02, proposed by Mike Weir on 12/12/2001.

That this House welcomes the findings of the renewable energy resource study commissioned by the Scottish Executive, showing that Scotland has the capacity to be self sufficient in electricity from renewable energy and will even have excess capacity; and calls upon the UK Government to take this into account and confirm that no new nuclear power stations will be built in Scotland.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
