Public Toilets

That this House recognises the importance of the provision of public toilets in communities; notes that because of costs and vandalism, many have been closed by local authorities whom currently are not statutorily obliged to provide such public amenities; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to introduce at the earliest opportunity the necessary legislation or regulation to place on councils a duty to install, maintain and improve such important public facilities.
