Welsh Self-Government And The British Labour Party
EDM number 525 in 2001-02, proposed by Adam Price on 05/12/2001.
That this House wholeheartedly agrees with the assessment made in 1918 by Arthur Henderson, three times leader of the Labour Party and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, that 'Given self-government, Wales might establish itself as a modern utopia and develop its own institutions, its own culture, its own ideal of democracy as an inspiration to the rest of the world'; and urges Labour honourable Members from Wales to re-affirm the founding values of their party for peace, socialism and self-government.
This motion has been signed by a total of 8 MPs.
