Oecd Export Credit Agency Environmental Standards
EDM number 524 in 2001-02, proposed by Tony Colman on 05/12/2001.
That this House, noting the outcome of the OECD negotiations on environmental standards for export credit agencies, regrets that other OECD governments, including Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, France and Australia, did not follow the lead of the United States and the United Kingdom by insisting that the standards agreed for assessment are at least those set out by the World Bank; and calls upon all parties to ensure that a further meeting of OECD countries is held within the next six months to ensure that their export credit agencies match these higher environmental standards.
