Bristol Arnolfini Lottery Grant

EDM number 461 in 2001-02, proposed by Valerie Davey on 21/11/2001.

That this House congratulates the Arnolfini, Bristol, an international centre for contemporary arts, on securing ú7.5 million funding from the arts lottery in its 40th anniversary year; acknowledges that the Arnolfini has built up an international reputation for its exhibitions and performance programmes and that this grant will ensure that it continues to flourish as a focus for experimental art; and hopes that this development will provide a further cultural boost to Bristol and the South West Region which will enhance the city's bid to become European Capital of Culture 2008.

This motion has been signed by a total of 22 MPs.
